Since Earthdance quite a few things have happened to the disciples of the One Mighty Atom.
We have a new drummer, David Owen who used to play for Metalmorphosis. To get him to understand the beats and rhythms of psychedelic funk, we locked him in a portaloo and fed him nothing but chocolate covered menthol cigarettes and dried carburettors for three weeks. He emerged a new man, ready to accept that the One Mighty Atom has indeed made the most perfect rhythms the universe has known.
The next shocking development was to break the harmony of the power trio and bring in a new disciple. Chris Pefanis, who has an on again, off again relationship with the Slugs of War is now blowing down the business end of various windy, brassy things and actualising the keyboard parts that have been robotically stuck in Ableton.
We have honoured the One Mighty Atom again with a recent gig at Rustler's Valley, our second since we got the new line up and best way to wind up and awesome Funktember. Pics and inspirational poems to follow.
